About Me
**CIAO!** My name is Denisa, I’m 26 years old, and I recently moved to the United States because I love change, traveling, and exploring the world outside of my comfort zone. I enjoy trying new things and meeting people with different stories and cultures.
I grew up in Europe, in Italy, a wonderful country that I highly recommend visiting! If you ever pass by, I’d be happy to host you and show you around to help you discover its most authentic places.
Here in the U.S., I work as an au pair, so unfortunately, I can't host at the moment. However, I’m always open to meeting new people, sharing experiences, and maybe creating new friendships along the way! 😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that staying with locals is the best way to truly connect with a city, experience its culture from the inside, and discover hidden gems that most tourists miss. Plus, with my au pair salary, I’m not exactly rich—haha!
Beyond that, I love the idea of exchanging stories, experiences, and perspectives with people from all over the world. Traveling isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about meeting new souls, sharing moments, and creating memories. Couchsurfing is a great way to step out of my comfort zone, make meaningful connections, and maybe even find lifelong friends along the way! 😊
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of music in general… Some of my friends say I’m weird because I can go from 60s French music to the heaviest rock to classical music in a matter of minutes. But hey, that’s just me—haha!
I’m a huge movie and TV series lover, and I have a particular obsession with shark movies (yes, it’s a thing!). I’ve always been fascinated by these incredible creatures, and one of my biggest dreams is to dive and swim with them one day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My company and the perspective of someone from a completely different continent—trust me, there are so many cultural differences you wouldn’t even imagine! I love sharing stories, experiences, and insights about life in Europe, and I’m always up for a good conversation.
Plus, I can teach you how not to get scammed—haha! Traveling teaches you a lot, and I’ve picked up a few tricks along the way. 😉
