I studied Zoology in Vienna and worked as a zooguide for a few years. I like to share my passion for nature and its animals with other people, especially children.

Most people say I am open minded and easy to get along with, as long as I've had enough sleep ;). I am adventurous and curious: When I am somewhere new I can't stop walking, because there might be something amazing after the next turn of the road :). But you'll probably have to come and find out yourself ;)!

I think the best way to travel a country is to meet up with locals and experience their culture in an authentic way. You get to know the place from their kind of view, not only th touristic one.
I also enjoy hosting people, because it offers you the opportunity to get to know a wide range of different people from all over the world without having to travel yourself. And when showing hosts around you often get to know your home in a different way and you learn to value the beauties of your home.

兴趣

I studied zoology and that's probably also my greatest passion: I love to learn more about nature and animals. I enjoy taking walks in the woods or hiking in the mountains. There's always something interesting to discover and observe, especially when taking a closer look. Recently, I also started to do some photography.
Apart from that I like to travel and get to know people of different cultures, of course. I also like doing sports, like jogging and climbing. And I've started to learn Taiji. In the evenings I prefer a relaxed evening with friends at home or at a nice bar/pub to clubbing most of the time. I like to cook and learn how to prepare new meals (I am vegan, but as my husband is not I don't mind others eating or preparing meat).

That's always a though question for me to answer, as there are so many different things I like and when asked I can never think of a particular one.
For books my favourite authors probably are: Paul Auster, Haruki Murakami, John Steinbeck .. and I read the Little Prince every time I travel. When it comes to movies, I like Woody Allen and French movies. At the moment my favourite band is ZAZ, but I also like to sing along with 60s rock and pop music.

I've spent three weeks in the middle of the Amazonian rainforest in a small research camp which could only be accessed by boat. It was a really amazing experience for me to sleep in a hamock and to get a chance to see so many different exotic animals.
