ABOUT ME

I am a married mom of 3 grown sons. I have been a teacher, and am always the student. I love to meet people who have had experiences different than my own and hear about what they think and understand about the world. I have been to 35 countries both with and without children, almost always traveling independently in order to get to know people and life wherever I am

Most likely I will be hosting, but I love to travel too and when I'm without the rest of my family, I would love to have friends I can look up and hang out with

I have been the recipient of very generous hospitality in my traveling outside of this network, and appreciate the opportunity to participate in a more formalized network both hosting and visiting. My son got me into this network, and he has had some great experiences, so I thought I would try too

Intereses

Running, gardening, camping & hiking, university classes for fun, history, politics, culture. Right now I am planning on working with the refugees crossing into South Texas. I have traveled extensively in Central and South America in the last couple of years and care a great deal about what they have come from and that they make it to where they are going

6 month road trip from Nairobi to Edinburgh with 3 kids in tow - ages 11, 14, 16. Traveling with kids is a wonderful way of connecting and seeing the world!
