ABOUT ME

I'm currently working as a teacher in a Secondary School in Singapore . As much as I like to travel, the amount of travelling is limited by: Firstly my budget constraints and secondly my school commitments (which means i can only do lengthy travelling during my breaks).
I love seeing new things, learning and experiencing different cultures and I believe that despite our many differences in language, culture, ideals and experiences, we are similar in the powerful sense of common humanity. I also enjoy sharing my experiences with my students back home, letting them know that I continue to learn everyday.

I have made many friends from around the world throughout my travels and I believe that travelling is the best education that anyone can get (the irony!)

PHILOSOPHY

I travel to see, feel and experience the many different cultures that is our world. I hope I continue travelling even in my later years, to see beautiful places, to meet awesome people and to have lots of fun. I get a kick out of not knowing what awaits me and look forward to every challenge I meet.

Minimal, but I've hosted friends I met travelling and stayed at friend's places while travelling in their country.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1. Travelled
2. A 7 day Gobi Desert Roadtrip braving freezing cold temperatures and sleeping under millions of stars at night, and experiencing the harsh hot desert climate in the day.
3. Homestayed at Iran where I discussed about politics, sexuality, culture and the world with my very learned host in the Dasht-e-Kavir desert.

The 'not so amazing' stuff
1. Got myself detained at the Serbian-Hungarian border for misplacing an immigration card.
2. Heard a fire-fight going on in the distance while in Kosovo.
3. Got into a motorbike accident and nearly lost my life in Vang Vieng, Laos

Im a History minor and really interested in History. I also enjoy discussing about different cultures and learning about them.
I guess I could share about my experiences travelling, my experiences as a school teacher...
