About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Revel without a cause.
ABOUT ME
I would survive the zombie apocalypse. I love building and crafting and crocheting and woodworking. I love the outdoors and all excuses except golf to be out in them. Lately that includes camping, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding. I love cooking, though it's never anything fancy. I am very much a meat and potatoes person, but love dabbling in vegetarian and vegan options. I made most of my furniture, and it's okay to say some of it is ugly. Don't worry, the couch is legit.
PHILOSOPHY
This current chapter of life sees me forgoing material possessions in favor of rich experiences, particularly those you're supposed to grow out of some day. The exception to this rule is gear, you just need reliable gear.
I come from poor people, I love poor people, I only judge those who judge poor people.
All I want in this world is a little self-sustaining farm to someday settle down on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently interested in hosting, not looking to do much traveling until the spring.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far non-existent! I've been meaning to sign up for ages and finally did. I am not an axe-murderer or crazy cat lady. You should totally come crash at my place and get me some street cred.
Interests
Outdoorsy things. Snowsports and snowforts. Making it to the top of impressive things. Harry Potter and post-apocalyptic dystopias. Cheap, creamy coffee and spiked hot chocolate. Fires and excuses to have them. Biking - in a very leisurely, "let's look at the leaves in the parks" sort of way. Baking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been licked by a monkey in Sri Lanka, adopted by a family in Zambia, drank for five months straight in Ireland, was attacked by "aggressive seagulls" in Marseilles, injured my neck staring straight up in Rome, and wrote bad poetry in Amsterdam. I have sailed around an entire island (tiny little Manteo on the outer banks of NC). I have hiked to the top of five 14,000ft peaks, sledded down a small glacier, and caught a 16-inch trout. That last one's pretty recent, so I'm pretty proud of it.

Wood-frame construction. Proper grammar. Improper, stylistic grammar. Snowboarding. Crocheting. Rock-climbing. Dove-tail joints. Bad Spanish.
