ABOUT ME

I'm a 57 year old grad student. Yup, I did this education thang backward. My area of study is medical anthropology from a socio-cultural perspective. I like archery, sailboat race and dance in what little free time I have. In a past life I was a cook and went to cooking school. I love good food and good friends. I am currently living in Mason, Mi after two years of fieldwork in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Interests

I've unofficially couch surfed since I was 19 years old when I hitchhiked to San Francisco from Seattle on my way to Santa Cruz. I stayed with friends of friends for two weeks in SF and then with friends of friends in Santa Cruz while I got settled there. Since I have friends all over the country and in a few other countries, I often stay with them when I am traveling. I try to be a good quiet guest and help out with cooking, cleaning up after myself.
