CURRENT MISSION

I believe in the power of hard work and commitment to achieve meaningful goals in life. I am a public health professional with extensive experience working in Ethiopia, currently serving with an international non-governmental organization. Over the years, I have devoted my career to strengthening health systems and advancing public health outcomes in the country.

My current role focuses on supporting a national disease eradication program targeting one of the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). As part of a global initiative, my efforts are directed toward achieving the ambitious goal of eradicating this disease in Ethiopia—and globally—by 2030. This includes strategic planning, coordination, capacity building, and continuous engagement with stakeholders at all levels to ensure program success and sustainability.

Driven by purpose and grounded in evidence-based public health practice, I remain committed to making a lasting impact on the health and well-being of communities in Ethiopia and beyond.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since 2014, I have been an active participant in the global Couchsurfing community. Through this platform, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with diverse groups and individuals from around the world, both by hosting travelers and by supporting their journeys with recommendations and cultural guidance across Ethiopia.

My involvement in Couchsurfing reflects my passion for cultural exchange, hospitality, and learning from people of different backgrounds. It has allowed me to share the rich heritage of Ethiopia while also gaining insights into global perspectives—building meaningful relationships and fostering mutual understanding across borders.
