ABOUT ME

Who am I? Well, that's what I'm trying to figure out, I'm still young so that's okay, plenty of time to figure it out, and even if I don't, as long as I pack a lot of fun and interesting experiences in along the way with good people then I won't mind leaving the question un-answered.

After some transformative life experiences that made me question what I really want out of life, I decided to jump into the deep end of life. I left the familiar surrounds of Melbourne, Australia to accept a 6 month job offer in Manila, Phillipines. Not knowing a single person here, having no apartment found in advance, having only travelled minimally and to countries similar to Aus (USA, NZ), never having lived overseas or even on my own, I moved out and 'left home' in a big way. Pursuing a new career, with a new company, in a new city, in a continent I've never visited.

I arrived in Manila in late July, with 12kg of luggage on my back and an open mind. The whole experience has taught me a lot about myself, so more and more I'm deciding that who you are is defined by the experiences you have in life, and how you react to them. So I'm focusing on putting myself through as many different experiences as I can, because I learn a lot about myself from each one.

Fingers crossed after enough experiences I'll have some idea of who I am, along with a countless amount of priceless memories from the journey where I discovered the answer to the weighty question.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lost 35kg, went from being obese to lean and fit, maintained the loss for 5 years and counting, something that less than 1% of people manage to do (maintain a 15kg+ weight loss for 5+ years), a little known and rarely quoted statistic about health and fitness.
