ABOUT ME

I hate writing about myself. Which means I am secretly kind of narcissistic. But in a good way ; )
Im a trained Chef hoping to begin my studies into a more permanent field once i settle down this coming spring. I enjoy photography, reading, making extravagant meals for guests and hanging out with a small group of people in more intimate settings.

New Favorite German Word: Torschlusspanik. It really encompasses the feeling of my Quarter-life crisis pretty well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I dont really have an apartment big enough to host anyone at the moment. Hopefully that will be changing here in the future! I would love to meet up for a coffee and a nice chat sometime though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met a very lovely girl in my home town in the states. She is from a small town in germany. A year after meeting her I moved to Germany and found out she lives really close to my new home. We've shared some great times together. I thinking meeting people through CS and keeping those friendships through the years is really gratifying and something special.

兴趣

Hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, eating, cooking, reading, not studying German, photography, good conversation and learning things out of the ordinary. Im also really good at remembering random facts. Things no one really has a use for. Things pertaining to history or life cycles of certain insects. I guess I just like odd facts.
Also astrology is kind of fun. Do i believe in it? Not really. But it's still interesting.

I like the old classics. Books written in dialect are so fascinating. I find a character portrayed with a dialect so much more interesting.
I love all types of music. You wont see me dancing however.
Movies - they are okay.

I guess seeing a few bears in the wild was pretty amazing. Knowing there is nothing between you and a deadly animal can get the adrenalin really going. Climbing mountains when there is a little bit of risk involved is also liberating. No risk, no reward, right?
