CURRENT MISSION

I'd love to start exploring the country by getting out of the bubble of the South. There is a whole lot to explore. If my roommates would agree, I would love to start hosting people as well. What a fantastic way to get connected to so many.

ABOUT ME

Greetings all. I am currently working on my Bachelor's in Music Composition at the University of Alabama, and this means that the time for grad school tours is drawing ever closer. I am looking at schools in Oregon, California, Maryland, Indiana, New York, and Massachusetts, so I may be trying to crash in those areas at some point. For my doctorate, my ideal university is Northwestern without a doubt. Couch surfing seems like a fantastic way for me to meet other people while traveling the world, and I don't think this is something that I need to pass up while I am young.

PHILOSOPHY

Golden rule. I am not a religious person, but I do enjoy talking with kind religious people. No sense in arguing with anyone, really. Just enjoy the beautiful world and exist as you will.

Interests

I love music, specifically new music. There is nothing better than exploring the completely endless labyrinth of the musical world, and I am glad that I get to contribute to that as a composer. I'm also interested in craft beers, delving into the world of the visual arts, and spending as much time outside with some books as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh god, don't get me started on music. I won't post anything about my taste in music here, mainly because that would be a great topic of discussion with whomever it is that I end up meeting! I don't watch too many movies (too much screen time hurts my eyes, which are sensitive due to some eye surgeries). I wish I had more time to read these days, but I don't. It is sad, really. I'm taking a lighter course load for the rest of undergrad, so I can read quite a bit again!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did matching band for a number of years in high school and the first year of college. I got to experience some incredible things, like Alabama winning the national championship in 2009. Band took me to California twice, Florida, all around the South, Ohio, Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado, and quite a few other places as well. I long to travel again.

Music. I study it all day, every day. I love talking about it. I would love to talk to you about it as well. Whatever you have to share, I would be ecstatic to hear.
