I am a native Californian from the mountain region outside of the beautiful city of San Diego. I grew up there and then moved to Washington, DC to study international affairs and economics. I took 2 years off of school to work and travel, which was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I now live in New York City. My hobbies / interests include adventure motorcycling, playing the drums, learning languages (I am fluent in Spanish and am a beginner in Chinese) and Krav Maga.

I have found that the most fun times I have had in my life are on the road, and specifically with new friends I have made, whether locals or fellow travelers. Some of my most favorite memories are with friends I have made on CS.
My first experience was in Tijuana, MX , just across the border from my native San Diego, with a pretty awesome girl from CS which was one of the coolest times ever...I then went to Mexico City and was graciously hosted by a wonderful CS friend there. From there I went to Rio de Janeiro and had a wonderful host as well...It was a fantastic time! I also like to just hang out with Coushsurfers that live near me or are passing through.

I have been to the Amazon jungle to spend time with a tribe of Shuar indigenous natives in Eastern Ecuador. I recently completed a 5 day motorcycle trip through the coffee country in Colombia.
