Transition back to civilian life

ABOUT ME

Well I just got out of the military and have been planing a trip to Europe as a way to take some time off and get back into civilian life before I go to school. I love to cook and am looking forward to the wide variety of cuisines available throughout Europe. I am fairly laid back easy to get along with and will be on a very flexible schedule. I already have my tickets and will be arriving in Portugal on Nov 5th and then on to where ever I feel like (probably up to the UK for a Volbeat concert on the 14th). I will be getting the Eurail global pass so that I don't have to worry about travel expenses.

PHILOSOPHY

Always keep death in mind, once you are gone all that will be left is what you have done and how people remember you.

As I just joined the site and live an area no one will be visiting, I intend to pay it forward once I get back to the states and am living in Milwaukee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a ship through a storm in 25ft (7.6 meter) waves, adrenalin rush of a lifetime.

I have saved a few people but it was part of my job, no different than the credit due a nurse or paramedic. It still had a profound impact on me though.

Teach, Learn, Share

Im a sous chef so I can help with anyone who wants to learn how to cook.

From the military I have some training in hand to hand combat and extensive training in firearms, not sure how many would be interested in this or what the chance to implement it in Europe would be though.
