PHILOSOPHY

We're all obviously here to be happy. I achieve this by learning as much as possible, and contributing back to the human race. Personally I believe that's what life is about. It's why we're here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Heard about it years before I signed up but life kinda got in the way. I now need to get back to priorities one of which is connecting with others. That's why I'm offering a nice cosy double bed and hope others will be so kind as to reciprocate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As most of us, I've been doing this all my life. As a matter of fact, when I travel, one of the first things I look for is a couch. We all know that traveling is infinitely better if you're connecting with somebody local. Staying in hotels blow!!

Interests

My number one interest is spending time in nature. I achieve this mostly though surfing but would be happy to go for a hike/off road run. This is something that I think the human race has lost along the way and I'm on a (what feels like) one-man crusade to get people out of the shops/bars/movies and getting back to our roots. This was obviously heavily influenced by spending time in Cape Town, but also growing up in South Africa in general. Other interests include, learning, reading, music, psychology (the kind you can actually apply). I'm in to self-development a lot. I love learning how the brain works and how it can be influenced/shaped to suit us (or the person/company doing the influencing - not always a good thing).

Music, Movies, and Books

Lost touch with movies recently as Hollywood was a bit overpowering. Music is huge in my life. If I had to pick two favourites it would be Radiohead and Leftfield.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am privileged enough to know the most amazing people in the world. Unbelievably generous and kind souls. To all those that know me, thank you for your friendships. Living and surfing in one of the most amazing cities in the world, Cape Town is something that shaped who I am.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you a lot about where to go in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria, South Africa. I've also traveled the UK extensively in the past couple of years, so could give some handy tips there. Lived in London and Bristol so shout if you need some guidance. I'm into self-development a lot so would be happy to hear about people's issues and help them move forward.
