About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life while building my career in IT

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun, nice, and easygoing guy from down south. I enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life, experiencing cultures from all over the world and meeting new and interesting people. I am dating (and traveling with) my girlfriend of nearly 2 years Andrea, who has a Biology degree but is currently studying Graphic Design. She has added a bit about herself in this profile. We are both from Mississippi.

PHILOSOPHY

Jeff: I'm still working on building my personal philosophy, but I believe everyone has a part to play in shaping the world into a better place, a lot of people are merely asleep to their life's calling. I believe we should always strive towards our own utopia, even if it may not ever be fully realized.

Andrea: Strive for more than you're comfortable with, rarely turn down a new experience, have much empathy, know that you can usually get more from an experience or a person than what appears on the surface. And have a sense of humor!

Music, Movies, and Books

Jeff:
Movies- Movies that make me think and especially ones with Gnostic themes such as the Matrix.

Music- Electronic, indie, rock.. some of my favored bands are Incubus, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, I.C.P, Praga Khan, Oasis , Death Cab for Cutie, Ace of Base, BT, Die Antwoord, Furrows, Banner Fair, The Police, The Eagles, A-ha, Matchbox Twenty, Coldplay, Muse, Ween, The Mermen, House of Love, Grateful Dead, and Enigma. I also appreciate classic country after having worked at a country radio station for a year.

Books- Funny, sci-fi, and motivational books, though I've unfortunately fallen out of my accomplished reader status :( Favorite would be Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Andrea:
Movies- Ann of Green Gables series, Schindler's List (all time fave), Bourne trilogy, Noise's Off, Kill Bill's

Music- Anything except most country

Books- Boundaries, 1984, Swimming to Antarctica, Redemption series, others...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jeff: I lived in Boston for 6 months doing an internship at the William J. Clinton Foundation and got to meet President Clinton.

Andrea: Sky-diving

Teach, Learn, Share

Jeff: I am great at PC computers and networking, having worked in IT for over a decade. If you need any computer assistance I'd be glad to help :)

Andrea: I'm good at advising in the art and design area (including interior design) and if you need advice involving people, I'm pretty accurately intuitive about those things, so I can try to help out! I can also teach you about real southern culture, if you're interested.
