About Me

I'd like to hear you speak because I dig the things you say

Studied sociology officially, lover of photography, illustration and drawing, and picture books. I used to work as an assistant English teacher in France, now I work at a law firm in NYC.

pas peur

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been to some meetings in Aix, Berlin, and Lille, and while I don't have a couch for anyone to sleep on I'd be glad to meet for a coffee.

Making pasta in Porto, getting lost in Marrakech, partying in Lisbon during Carnaval, running through Berlin at night, staying up till dawn in Amsterdam, getting into fights in Brussels. It's been a fun time so far.

sociology, photography, the internet, going to concerts, used book stores and clothing shops, the New Yorker, whiskey, beer, and wine; antique shops and curios, sitting at cafes for several hours.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some Music I like: tune yards, Nick Drake, Metronomy, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Clash, Johnny Flynn, Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire, Merle Haggard, Patti Smith, Kanye West. I'm kind of into a lot of different things, most likely I will listen to something and with some exceptions, I will enjoy it.

Movies: anything by Truffaut, 28 Days Later, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Winter's Bone, Chinatown.

Television: Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Community, 30 Rock, Archer, The Ricky Gervais Show, Arrested Development, Twin Peaks, Mad Men, Game of Thrones

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved hiking in Ourika Valley, Morocco

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook a mean vegetable tart, chicken, soup, gazpacho, pesto, and generally I can throw things in a pan and make it taste good (and will do that for you if you let me stay with you!). I can set up a darkroom and I know a little bit about a lot of different things. I can play about 4 chords on the guitar. I can sing a bit. I'm interested in whatever anybody else has to share.

I'd also like to explore more abandoned buildings.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, United States
