ABOUT ME

Since I've graduated college I've done everything from work on a turtle project in Hawaii to lead teenage girls up mountains in Colorado. I've also worked at a few organic farms, interned for a cool literary magazine and met a lot of very awesome people. I am always looking for new experiences and new places to discover. I love hiking and living outside but I also enjoy being in the city. I'm pretty easy going and I'm good at going with the flow. More recently I have worked as a journalist in Reykjavik, Iceland and am now back in Portland writing and babysitting.

Some movies off the top of my head: Brizil, Rushmore, I am Cuba, Sudden Manhattan, Blue Velvet. And books/writers: Lolita, All the Kings Men, Amy Hemple, David Foster Wallace,Amiee Bender, Graham Greene, Alice Munro, Frank Bidart, William Carlos Williams. Music: anything that KEXP in Seattle plays. I've been listening to anything anyone recommends and a lot of great Portland bands too.

Swimming in brilliant phosphorescence under a full moon in the San Juan Island in Washington State, USA.
In Iceland the best things I did were going on a road trip to the Northlands, sheep herding in the south, SCUBA Diving in Silfra at Thingviller and waking up to Retro Stefson shooting a music video right outside my window.
