Hello! My name is Desmond! I am in my early 20s and I am in the middle of getting my life on my own going. I like to meet nice people and have conversations about Japan and Japanese culture. As far as hobbies, I like: drawing, reading, games, playing music (guitar mainly) and singing, and I love animals! Dogs are my favorite. Maybe if you are a musician, we can play music together! If not, I would still be happy to perform for anyone. ;) I am rather quiet until I get comfortable around new people, normally, but I am still very open to have talks about anything! And I try very hard to stay out of trouble. I don't like conflict, especially unnecessary conflict so please don't worry! Recently, after putting in enough time at my job I acquired vacation time and used it to visit Japan! Mainly Kyoto, Japan! I am currently looking and gathering information on schools in Japan. I am planning another trip to Kyoto to visit schools and I would love to have a place I can stay while I am doing that! I would be more than happy to exchange language and make new Japanese friends! :) I have been studying Japanese on my own for a little over a year now and I would love nothing else more than to visit Kyoto again and see more of what that city has to offer as far as opportunities for my future and for growing myself and my knowledge of Japanese culture in Kyoto. I enjoy learning new things! I enjoy some odd hobbies too! Hahaha. I like to ride unicycles, I like nunchucks like Bruce Lee, and sometimes I ride a unicycle while spinning nunchucks! It is very interesting for some people! Lol

I like Classic Rock mostly but I enjoy all kinds of music! My favorite bands are Boston and Led Zeppelin!!! \m/
I like super hero movies the most! Spider-man is my favorite super hero!! And I like series movies, like: Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and things like that!
As far as books, I enjoy reading Lemony Snicket and I read lots of comics. I also enjoy reading books that are written in Japanese for language practice! I love reading Japanese!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In High School, a few friends and I performed at a talent show and we prepared a live music video while we played a song. I was on guitar, my female friend sang, and my other friend worked the film on the projector. The song and video was dedicated to a teacher at my school that was battling with cancer. My friends and I actually brought the entire auditorium to tears... It was by far the most emotionally powerful experience of my life and I am even happier that I was part of the performance that brought everyone together to support our teacher. It was an incredible time of my life.

I am more than willing to teach my language! I have aspirations to become an English teacher in Japan as soon as I have graduated college and found a job! I would also be happy to teach guitar! I have given guitar lessons in the past but, of course, my lessons for you would be free of charge! :)
