ABOUT ME

I am looking to meet new people and exchanging all our travel and life stories! I am also very interested to learn about different cultures and the environment in which different people grow up in. I think food is a great way to bond and I love to have a food exchange!

PHILOSOPHY

In adversity, some men break. Others break record. Life is a series of test and we should take each challenge as an opportunity to overcome ourselves. I see everything as a chance to learn something new. If we never try, we will never know. So we should not be pessimistic about something before we even try it. Even through failure we can learn. We should just live life and go with the flow yo!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couch Surfing but I have heard a lot of great stories about it. I think it is a great way to meet people and let people out there know that you can still feel safe and at home in a foreign country. There are still many peaceful and lovely people in this seemingly violent world! I will definitely open my couch when I am back in Singapore!

Interests

Sports. I play floorball, hockey, soccer, touch rugby and table tennis. But I just love sports in general. I also love music. I picked up cooking not too long ago and I feel that food is a great way to bond. I love to try food from different countries and share my local fare as well. I enjoy having long chats over a dinner table. Occasionally, I love to party and dance as well!

I like to listen to live acoustic music. Hmmm...maybe some Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Jason Mraz. I play a little guitar and love to sing along sometimes haha. But I aint good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a student, I have lived in a Cambodian Village for more than a month doing community service. It is very heart warming to see how people can warm up to each other despite language barriers. Even though I only visit once a year, I can feel the deep friendship form. I feel that I am a part of a long-term sustainable project that will help many volunteers and locals learn.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my experience in doing community service in Cambodia. I hope that many will be able to experience doing a community service project as it very enriching for both the participants and the beneficiaries! I am not such a great cook but I can cook some dishes!
