enjoy life, host surfers, love people
hi, i love music and cloudwatching. and cooking. and photography. i especially enjoy taking picture of children, old people and clouds. i also really like to ride my bicycle.
I have traveled a bit, and I know how helpful a couch can be for a traveler. especially if the host is nice, interesting and easygoing. I found this site and wanted to host as many people as I can. Because I believe that when you do something to help others, you make this world a better place.
I want to make this world a better place.
the best things in life are not things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted in Beijing when I could, surfing on my trips and meeting with CSers from all parts of the world.
hosted some awesome surfers. met some awesome friends. been to some awesome cs meetings, surfed with some awesome hosts.
I am interested in finding a like-minded musician to busk(playing music in street). If you think you might fancy that, please let me know. For busking, I got a guitar, a harmonica, an accordion, a keyboard piano(electric...be difficult to go busking with) and a really funny-looking face. I know one chinese song, wait, i don't think i remember how it goes anymore. So I no know Chinese songs. We can busk english songs, or whatever songs you know. (oh, I can also juggle).
Music, Movies, and Books
the function of music is to release us from the tyranny of conscious thought.
Books: Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Charles Bukowski, Kurt Vonnegut
Music: Damien Rice, Ben Harper, Ray LaMontagne, Bon Iver, The Girls, also, there are a lot of amazingly talented local artists in Beijing that nobody's heard of, I can take you to local gigs if you are interested.
Movies: I'm not interested in: any of the transformers, twilights, Avatar, so basically most commercial films. I'm generally interested in all other films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have survived a LEVEL 5 tornado, and I was on national news in the states because of it, that was my (literally) 2 minutes of fame. I also have never broken a bone or had nosebleed, though I tried hard growing up. I'd be mildly appreciative if you could introduce either of those experiences to me (though I should tell you beforehand that hitting me in the face does not cause me to nosebleed no matter how hard you think you can hit).
oh and i've been to mt.everest in two countries (tibet/china, nepal).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook unauthentic Chinese food, and how to appreciate them. I can also teach you how to juggle (updated on 2012: ok I forgot how to juggle now, sorry).
I can learn so much from you! 三人行必有我師 (something Confucius said: I can learn something from nearly everyone I encounter).
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, Japan, Laos, Nepal, South Korea, Thailand, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
China, United States
