ABOUT ME

I'm Dessale Berekhet and I was born into a nomadic wayfarer family. In my mind I still live as a global nomad. I'm a compeletely easy going and relaxed person, I can try nearly everything in life. I am truly fond of meeting people with a sincere spirit of sharing life experiences.

Note: I'm now living in a students' dorm - so the information you read under 'My Home' is an out-dated one. I'm still open and ready for meeting and having tea/coffee and chat. On the state of emergency; I will never let you out on the extreme coldness of Norway. I will host you at any cost!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hospitality is part of the culture I grew up. We naturally trust strengers; or rather there is NO one we can see as a strenger. Guests who are never known to us before are named 'Gashai-Rebi' which literally means 'A Guest from God'. How a big blessing would it be then for a believer to host a guest whom God Has sent?! You can simply imagine it.

In Africa, I've survived on The Denakil depression which gets as hot as +50 ‘C! Now I live on the other extreme of our globe - Norway! I accept life as it comes - so it was not a bad exprience at all.

I may teach how to cook some traditional food my people eat; the problem is we wouldnt have the ingredients. In case the interest is there I can teach relaxing reflexology and massage.
