About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To reach my full potential as a human being by way of travel, adventure, and sharing my art with the world!

ABOUT ME

Born a farmgirl of Verdant Valley, Alberta, Canada,I grew up riding horses, climbing TREES, and exploring the badlands with no TV and a dream of travelling the world.I have invented a new art form carving leaves from plants, which I call Violent Hippie Leaf Art, and I hope to have a successful career through this passion.I have lived in Mexico twice, both times alone, and have a decent grip of Spanish. I am a very adventurous and enthusiastic person who isn't afraid of hard work (or alot else for that matter lol),and very tidy. I am very easygoing and positive, find beauty in just about everything,and...am terrible at ending descriptions about myself =)

PHILOSOPHY

I want to end this life feeling that I have done my best to maximize my potential both as a human being and in terms of experiencing this world. I believe that striving for balance and being in tune with my inner self are keys to obtaining this, along with alot of other things like tackling fears and maintaining a childlike enthusiasm towards life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything involving real talent when it comes to music and am a huge fan of latin music. I love uplifting music, funky stuff, great voices, etc. Big fan of Tarantino flicks and documentaries, as well as classics like Fear and Loathing, Goodfellas etc. I love informative nonfiction and animal stories, eg. Raptor Red and James Herriot

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 3 day camping trip in the jungle outside Yelapa, Mexico with a local friend and his dog, to a very isolated spot. We went barefoot and drank river water when we ran out (no sickness ensued), eventually hiking up to a ranching communtiy where we purchased meat from a freshly killed cow and ate some of it raw (on his suggestion, and it was actually delicious). We spent our last night camping at the top of a mountain facing the ocean before hiking back to Yelapa. It was one ofthe most amazing and unforgettable experiences EVER.

Teach, Learn, Share

-Prey animals are naturally suspicious of humans because we have eyes on the front of our face, which is a predatory characteristic. When attempting to approach one then, we can counteract this somewhat by altering our behaviour (avoiding travelling in straight lines or focusing acutely on what we are trying to approach).I have had alot of success with this technique.
-It is possible to sleep in a tree without falling by finding the most comfortable spot and then using the same attitude you would when sleeping wiith a baby or pet-by simply implanting in your mind the need to avoid rolling over. I've slept in trees numerous times using this technique.
