I teach special education at a Middle/High School in Des Moines, Iowa. I've lived here for over 9 years now. It's a wonderful city! I'm the youngest of 14 children- same mom and dad :) We didn't grow up traveling but I soon realized I had a passion for it.

I enjoy being outside; biking, running, hiking, camping etc. I simply like being around people whether it's out on the town having a beer or sitting at home enjoying food and conversation. My Christian faith is an important aspect of my life.

I honestly listen to many types of music from hip-hop to Christian, reggae to country. I listen to music a lot! I don't watch many movies but if I do I like the ones that make me laugh and cry. The ones that tug at every emotion. I read a lot of non-fiction books. I often find myself reading ones about life-experiences from countries around the world.

I've taught children with special needs for several years. I feel they have taught me more than I could ever hope to teach anyone.
