About Me

Welcome!

I'm a Polish guy on an amazing adventure here in UK who moved out from the mother country just after receiving his A-levels results to study abroad and choose a more unconventional life.

I’m an explorer by nature - I just love going for unknown.. without a map.. just blending with locals and trusting the intuition. Luckily it never got me wrong, especially in terms of people.

Provided photos together with their descriptions should give you some idea about myself :)

PS: I'm automatically rejecting the "junk" requests for stays. Couchsurfing is about the experience, so please show some effort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m not getting a buzz out of traveling to the overseas country, buying an all-inclusive option, stay in the hotel and fry myself on the beach chair next to the hotel pool…

For me it’s about the adventure! Couchsurfing gives me a chance to explore this world to the fullest, gaining lots of unforgettable memories along the way and that’s what I wanna give to my guest as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is part and parcel of me, It was always accompanying me with studies or travelling. A good tuneage triggers my artistic side, playing the guitar and shouting at the top of my lungs ;)

Big fan of old Polish communistic movies from the 70s/80s. Other than that, the adventure movies of course - such as “Into the wild“

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've never come across a brilliant maths teacher in my life. Towards the end of high school, just before the final exam, I was rather quite embarrassed I am not prepared properly. Determined to pursue my dreams, I decided to take a gap year during which I worked harder on my maths than ever before. It wasn't easy, but in the end, I did it. I became proficient enough to explain most of the concepts to anyone as if they were five. I started tutoring people individually and then began offering free lessons on my YouTube channel called MatMistrz, trying to make up for the lack of good maths teachers in schools.

I think the channel exists till today, so feel free to have a look ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Warm bed, delicious food and a good laugh accompanied by amazing stories. With more free time - sightseeing the area and discovering the unknown!

I would like to speak Russian and German fluently one day. It’d be cool if you be fancy accelerate that process ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you the basics of Polish (trust me - Polish language has much more words than "kurwa") , my ethnic cuisine and juggling three/four balls if you ever wondered how the others do that. If you were born with bronchus instead of lungs just like me I give you some tips how to swim longer and with less effort!

I've heard I'm not bad at cooking too, so I could prepare some meal for you spicy/sweet.. whatever you’re fancy on - I will be striving for the best!
