ABOUT ME

I usually go in cycles of high and low energy. I used to be pretty athletic in high school, but I haven't kept up in college. I like swimming and playing tennis. I love to sing and dance.

I like to stay in on the weekends or hang out with friends. Usually my weeks are so hectic that I need the three days of recovery time. I'm introverted, though most people perceive me as an extrovert. I like small groups of people more than big parties.

I like listening to people's stories. About life, or things they've learned. I also like people watching. Some people think it's odd, but I tend to notice and remember details about people.

PHILOSOPHY

I have lots of feelings and thoughts all the time. Currently, I'm going through a bit of an identity crisis and am not quite at the point of being able to articulate my personal philosophy. For the time being, I keep telling myself that there will always be time for the things that matter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had one yet, but I'm hoping to get to Paris, France after I graduate from college (2014).

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies:
LOTR, Tangled, Love Actually, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, 27 Dresses, Rent, Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princess (this inspired me to learn ballet!), and The Parent Trap.

Music:
I judge by individual song, so it's hard to really name favorites. I listen to mostly pop, with a bit of country and R&B thrown in.

Books:
The Perks of Being a Wall Flower, Arcadia, The Tipping Point, Le Petit Prince

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I am trained as a crisis line phone worker and am currently a peer health and wellness educator at the school. I am fairly knowledgeable about topics such as sleep, alcohol, relationships, and mental health.

I am interested in learning languages and music. I REALLY want to fluent in french and spanish. I have started teaching myself piano and guitar, but I would love to have someone to guide me as in my learning.
