I'm Devika, new to couchsurfing, a journalist/radio producer from India, currently travelling solo down the length of Latin America, which is my lifelong dream. I speak three languages. I read and write a lot and ask a lot of questions. I'm glad and grateful to be travelling.

Interests

I like public spaces, plazas, gardens, landscapes of different kinds, libraries, kitchens, bars where old men hang out in the afternoon, good waste and water management systems, coffee, textiles, trees, every single kind of Mexican and South Indian food I have ever tried, balconies, taking pictures, collecting sounds, and talking to people who know things I know nothing about.

Learn: I'm on the cusp of Spanish fluency, so I want to talk to people about all kinds of things and have them correct me. Growing food, gardening, composting, cooking local dishes.

Share: Manual labour, enthusiasm, and excellent English skills.

Teach: Letter and postcard-writing.
