About Me
Hello! We are Dev and Sushmita, a couple from Jharkhand who love to travel. Most of our journeys are budget-friendly and on our bike, which lets us explore freely, enjoy the road, and discover hidden places.
So far, we have traveled across **9 states and 2 Union Territory of India** – Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Each destination has given us wonderful experiences and memories.
We’ve been traveling for years, but we are new to Couchsurfing. We see this as a way to connect with new people, share stories, and learn from different cultures.
Traveling is more than just a hobby for us – it’s our passion. Whenever we get time off work, our first thought is to plan the next trip. For us, Couchsurfing is not just about a place to stay, but about meeting amazing people and building friendships along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing allows me to travel affordably while connecting with amazing people who inspire and teach me new things
Interests
We both love road trips, especially on two wheels. Traveling by bike gives us freedom and adventure, and it’s our favorite way to explore new places. We enjoy discovering both cities and villages, and learning about the history, culture, and traditions of each place we visit.
Food is also a big part of our journeys — we love trying local dishes and sometimes cooking simple meals ourselves. We enjoy music, movies, and photography, as they help us capture and relive our travel memories.
Most of all, we love meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning from their experiences. Every trip feels more meaningful when we can connect with others along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We once traveled from Siliguri to Darjeeling at night on a scooty, in the middle of winter, without wearing proper winter clothes. It was freezing, adventurous, and unforgettable — one of those moments that makes travel so special and memorable.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can share about Jharkhand’s culture, our travel stories, and languages we speak like Hindi (and Santhali, if someone is interested). We want to learn about new cultures, food, and languages. We enjoy sharing good conversations and experiences on the road.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, travel stories, cultural exchange about Jharkhand, and a positive, friendly attitude
