About Me

ABOUT ME

For my whole adult life I have been working a variety of seasonal jobs around the United States and going on adventures in between. Always moving, always thinking of the next thing!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in honesty, being humble, and tolerance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love having new connections with strangers!

Interests

low budget adventureish travel, being vulnerable with strangers, alternative culture, digging into new music, playing music, home recording music, walking around cities aimlessly, hiking, opening up to strangers and vice versa, new connections, new places, new adventures, driving in my car, psychedelia, techno parties, concerts, cooking, bike rides, being lazy in parks, whatever else
If you are sexist, racist, or bigoted in any way I don't want to meet you✌ Also not interested in stupid macho attitudes🌠

I make music:

I throw lots of raves around Austin, and DJ quite a bit. If you like raves and underground electronic music you will be a good guest for me, as my life currently revolves around that scene.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: Massive Gregg Araki fan. I like movies that make you think. I like documentaries. I like dark comedies.

I like tons of music and I am always actively seeking out new stuff to hear. I love DIY musicians, folk, techno, house, shoegaze, dream pop, darkwave and all the goth-related subgenres, noise, experimental stuff, punk, 80's music, synth pop, old school country, weird hip hop, ETC ETC ETC I just love music.

I like reading nonfiction, especially books about traveling, and books that critique modern life. I like reading about subcultural history as well. I also love graphic novels. Also love Tom Robbins a ton.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-hitch hiked around the U.S. (almost coast to coast!)
-walked 400 miles up the California coast
-did conservation work in Vermont, Utah, and Oregon...in Vermont I lived in a tent for 6 months!
-worked doing outdoor education in Texas for four 3 month seasons
-hitch hiked/walked around Hawaii and hiked up Mauna Loa, a 45 ish mile hike through the most desolate place ever
-gone on three DIY tours playing music to people
-have hitch hiked all around Europe and stayed with many people
-worked a wilderness therapy job in the middle of nowhere in Utah
-throwing a monthly techno rave in Austin for five years straight (and still going)
-DJing for ten hours straight to a packed crowd✨✨ (and lots of other fun DJ experiences!)

can't wait to add more to this list!
