ABOUT ME

I grew up in Oregon's Willamette Valley. I travel between Eugene, the Oregon Coast and Connecticut where I work as a house/pet sitter and do house and garden work.

I play folk guitar, love to sing and enjoy writing poems and songs.

Wherever I'm at, I enjoy attending the local farmers markets and craft vendors fairs. It inspires me to see varied hand crafts and the creative ideas people come up with when making things. I am happy walking in nature, having coffee or tea with scones, listening to live music of any variety, rambling through old towns with cobbled streets and poking about in oddity or antique shops. I like to travel light and feel best when I am on a bus, train, plane or just plain hoofing it ... going somewhere, anywhere.

I have had extend visits in Germany and speak a little bit of German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting people who have a different life experience than my own. Traveling, even on small trips, expands my world vision, changes my perceptions and makes me see things in a new light. I like that. I like different ideas and I like change. I am interested in life, staying engaged and learning something new every day - there's so much to see and do ! I enjoy meeting travelers from all over, sharing stories and learning from one another.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a place to host, but enjoy meeting up with travelers for coffee and sharing stories or info if we happen to be in the same place at the same time.

Music - All kinds !

Books - Among my favorites are British Murder Mysteries, Medieval Historical Fiction, and Merlin/King Arthur Stories. But I also love reading cookbooks and authors such as Eckhart Tolle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Edinburgh Scotland ! A magical city - I lived there 3 months at a hostel. I met so many beautiful people and made so many amazing friends ! My experience there was truly life changing !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you some basic guitar or mandolin chords if you have an instrument and you want to learn to play.

If your traveling thru Eugene and I'm there I can show you around.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy being helpful around the house, helping with daily chores, cooking, cleaning and helping in the garden.

I am very tidy, quiet and respectful of others property and personal space.
