ABOUT ME

My two big passions are performance, and travel. I work as a projectionist for a major Australian cinema chain, and do what plays/films come my way. I also speak fluent Gibberish. A skill, which for some reason is not included in the Languages section of this website.

When traveling I tend to take months off at a time so I can go large and see a place properly. I caught the travel bug during my first year away in 2005/06... and now I can't get enough of it! When at home in Sydney I love film, theater, my guitar, partying (duh!), the beach, cycling, and the outdoors, among other things. I'm presently on my latest big adventure in Europe, and so am unable to offer a couch at present, but if you're in ever town and want someone to show you the sights of Sydney when I'm around, I love sharing my home town with people, and would be happy to show you around. :)

Have also read "Sleeping Around" by Brian Thacker. A good read. :)

Recently surfed my first couch in Parnu, Estonia, which was great! Then followed it up by couch surfing in Sweden, which was also brilliant! :)

Movies: well... I'm a projectionist, so movies are a big part of my life, and I have many favs. My two big favs are The Pink Panther (the 1963 original), and V for Vendetta. Others include The 40 Year Old Virgin, Galaxyquest, the Monty Python Films, Almost Famous, Hook, and Stargate.

Books, I love reading about travel, I particularly like the works of Bill Bryson and Brian Thacker, plus I also enjoy the fiction of Ben Elton, Stephen Fry, and others.

Music, I like heaps, but my big favs are Barenaked Ladies, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Mann Friday, and basically otherwise if I likes it, I'll listen to it. I like to think I'm fairly open minded musically, although I'm a bit out of the loop, as I hardly ever listen to radio anymore. (The Austereo stations have driven me away from radio.) As long as its not hardcore trance or anything crappy like that, I'll give it a go. :)

I take every opportunity to have fun that comes my way. You only live once, right? In my lifetime I have jumped from cliffs, jumped from planes, attempted to beat land speed records down hill on skis, conquered my fears of heights by abseiling down slippery canyons, explored ruins, rode rivers, and done all kinds of exciting stuff. I could talk for AGES about my adventures. Do feel free to tell me to shut up if you get sick of it.. :P
