ABOUT ME

I am a filmmaker, a musician, an actor, a technician; an artist. I was a treeplanter for a few summers. I like to visit new places, and do so as often as I am able to. I like to make new friends. I enjoy sending handwritten letters to people. I like to read books of all varieties, and spend a lot of time listening to music. I enjoy cooking and baking; pie would be my specialty. I play guitar and sing as often as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because of an unpredictable work schedule, I'm not sure how much hosting I can do, but there's no harm in asking! Hanging out would be great too, if I'm unavailable to host. I know my way around the city reasonably well, so hopefully I can help point you in a direction you'd enjoy!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I try to host surfers as often as I'm able, and it's been an incredibly rewarding experience so far.

I've done a bit of surfing myself, and I hope to do more as I continue to explore the world.

Interesses

For film: writing, acting, camera operation.
For theatre: lighting, acting, directing, carpentry, sound.
For music: piano, guitar, singing, trumpet, bass.
For life: camping, hiking, canoeing, especially canoeing, having coffee with friends, watching movies, reading books, etc.

Noticing a fantastic sunset near Kinuso, AB, pulling the truck onto the shoulder of the road, climbing onto the roof and sitting with a good friend to admire the beauty of nature.

The people of South Africa are amazing. The memories that I brought home from the short time I spent in Durban are fundamentally based on those individuals who shared their lives with me.

Driving through the Westfjords of Iceland and stopping to take a dip in a hot pool after having had a snowball fight beside a waterfall a few minutes earlier.
