Overview
About Me
We live in Bellingham. We moved here in 2020. We have a beautiful craftsman in Bellingham, WA and a yard. Excellent location, very good neighborhood. Lovely during April to Oct. New to the west coast. From Kolkata , India. Live and work in Bellingham at the University here. Partner is an engineer. We have a 11 year old.
We want to establish friend/family connections that we can house swap with in big /small cities of the world. We are especially interested in knowing / connecting with CS who live in Vancouver, BC in general and Seattle, Spokane, Washington and even Oregon. We want to find options to go to places and stay during weekends/ short holidays hence WA, OR and BC.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to share my home with travelers. I want to have global connections with travelers. It not only helps me create important (though short-lived) relations with people who are not part of my everyday life, or family or even friend. The idea sounds appealing to me. I like to let people use my space and I love the idea of being inside people's homes ( respectfully and on invitation) and seeing how they live their lives. I love chatting and knowing about other people and the cities/towns they live in.

What I Can Share with Hosts
We are easy. We like clear communication.
We have an above the ground basement which is where we want to host most often.
CONS
Bad insulation: You will hear us talk, walk, shut doors
Loud: I have a 9 year old and have kids in the house often
Aesthetics : The basement is also our storage so it is not pretty.
Height - Not for tall people at all. I am 5'4" and I can touch the ceiling - which are wooden beams.
Doors can be shut but not locked from outside, No valuables please
No kitchenette, only a microwave
Heater right in the middle of the basement
PROS
Completely Private
Separate entry
Attached private bath with clawfoot tub
1 Queen Bed- Comfortable. Mattress stained ( 10 years ago) but clean.
Work Table
Night Tables by side of bed
Fresh sheets
Good Light for basement
Access to backyard with chairs etc
FANTASTIC location - walk to downtown or Western Washington University campus
I CS myself as a guest and would really like if my guests left reviews. It helps potential hosts decide on whether they will host me of not. Please leave a review.
