ABOUT ME

I think it would take a book or a couple of books to write all about me. So in summation, I'm a complex individual bent on living simply and peacefully in a society that encourages and almost requires the opposite of its inhabitants.

Reader, writer, philosopher, student of yoga and buddhism, enjoyer of meaningful conversation, music,and experiences, travel, nature, beauty, spirituality and so on.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this thing, but am willing to open my home up to respectful and sincere individuals in need of a place to crash or looking to meet new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on a few couches, mostly those of friends.

My longest stint of couch surfing was two months on a friend's futon in downtown Calgary. I took the Greyhound across the country and landed in Calgary broke. Took a temp job in the far end of town and had to get up at 4 a.m. every day for a two hour commute.

Books - I've read a ton, but favourites include: anything by or about Jack Kerouac or the Beat Generation, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Siddartha, Walden, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Leaves of Grass.

I have to say the most amazing thing I've ever done in my life would be paragliding from the top of Mount Seven in Golden B.C.

The most amazing thing I've ever seen is anything that passes before my eyes.

Teach? I can share skills in writing, photography. I'm a certified snowboard instructor. Aside from official things, I have quite a bit of wisdom and knowledge I would love to pass on to anyone interested in partaking.

As for learning, I'm always seeking new knowledge and experiences. So come and teach away!
