To visit all the countries starting with a B
I'm just too curious to sit behind a desk working for a dream job. I quit. I decided that curiosity and creativity should be the only two driving forces of my life. I quit. I'm the owner of a documentaries film production start-up and I like it.
I'm currently onto a journey that will bring me from Bangladesh to Armenia. One of the goal is to write a travel novel on woman solo travel in Central Asia. Like what Ella Maillart did during the 20s and 30s. Depsite Internet and all the travel facilities we have today, I still think that understaking such a long travel can be called adventures. For now, I'm just wandering around some roads, exploring and appreciating this wonderful feeling of lightness.
Anarchism, not capitalism or socialism, is the way to go.
Happiness is not a goal, it's a journey.
âCynicism is a form of resistance, a walling off of the possibilities for transformation, a response to learned helplessness, a defense strategyâ¦Scratch the surface of a cynic and you will find a wounded idealist.â ~Mary Pipher

My first couchsurfing experience was in 2007 in Saskatoon. But I really plunged myself into couchsurfing during a 6 months Asia trip in 2011 :
- Russia : Apatity, Petrozavosdk, Moscow, Kazan, Perm, Omsk, Tomsk, Abakan and Olkhon Island
- China: Beijing and Shanghai
- Hong Kong
During my 2012-2013 Central Asia trip
- Doha (Qatar)
- Bangladesh : Dhaka
- India : Kolkata, Varanasi, Delhi, Haridwar, Chandigarh and Amritsar
- Pakistan : Lahore, Islamabad
- China : Harbin, Hanghzou, Xiamen, Xian, Lanzhou, Urumqi
- Kazakhstan : Almaty, Astana, Shymkent
- Kyrgyzstan : Bishkek
Everything... I'm very curious so it's hard for me not to get interested by something unless you try very hard to make it very boring.... :p

Music, Movies, and Books
I love European cinema, independant cinema and documentaries. Francois Ozon (French), the Dardenne brothers (Belgium) are some of my favorite filmaker. I'm also very proud of Denis Villeneuve's work. Recently, I really enjoyed Denis Cote's Curling and Yórgos Lánthimos' Dogtooth (Greek film nominated for the 2010 Academy Awards).
For fun, I started to watch all the movies that won the Golden Palm at Cannes, and the best Foreign Movie and Best Movie of the Academy Awards.
http://mubi.com is a good place to start exploring cinema.
I listen a lot to Quebec independent musical scene. So much talent, so little recognition ! Podcasts is an amazing way to discover new artists! If you want to discover good stuff, I suggest you to listen to Franco-Phil (http://www.francophil.ca/) and to CISM (http://cism2.cism.umontreal.ca/).
Otherwise, Karkwa, Malajube, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Portishead.
I'm also a big fan of African music : Salif Keita and Habib Koite, you are my men !
Books : hummmmm, with 2 masters in the past years and too many books and articles to read, I'm just fed up with books... I prefer cinema and documentaries podcast. But Ella Maillart is my coup-de-coeur. I also read a lot about existentialism (i.e. Sartre, Camus, Fromm) and about neurology (I'm fascinated by the humain brain functions).
