About Me

Hey, My name is Diana Nieves. I am 17 years old and I've been homeless for 5 months and I still cant find a consistent place to sleep. Shelters are rough and I don't like fighting or getting any of my stuff stolen. I usually sleep in a park or sometimes the subway or in abandoned houses. I do not have much clothes but I do like to keep clean so I save up any coins I find so I can wash my clothes. If I have any extra I can buy a small coffee or maybe something to eat. I just want to find somewhere I can sleep and feel safe. I don't steal or do drugs. I am disease free and mentally stable. I am homeless because of the abuse from my mother. she didn't want me anymore. If you would like more detail then please message me. I am always willing to answer questions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on Couchsurfing to find a stable place to sleep for a night or two. Even if it's some blankets on the floor, I'll take it. I just want to be safe.

Interests

I like to listen to music o: most genres are fine with me but I personally do not enjoy Country or Electronic. I also really like caring for pets and running basic errands. I like to clean and wash dishes. Polishing floors and scrubbing a bathrooms till it shines is really a good way to keep busy. Also I like to relax and chill out with a book once in awhile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave up my only chance for a room in an emergency housing for another person. I didn't know him but he was going through a rough time. I felt his safety was more important than my own. I saw him a few days agoin a small coffee shop. He had a girlfriend and fresh clean clothes he was happy. And that made me happy. I realized I didn't have enough money for a coffee so I went to leave but he called out and told me to come in. I learned his name was Don. He got a job and an apartment and even found love. He said if it wasnt for me giving up my bed for him, he'd probably wouldn't of made it through. I was given a cup of coffee and he bought me some food too, he said I was special. I felt like I was at that moment.
