I am a happy, easy going person. A little goofy at times with a childlike curiosity and excitement to learn and see new things. I feel like I’m a lot younger than other people my age!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of travel where you go from one tourist spot to the next without interacting with the locals isn’t really traveling in my mind. I have traveled that way but all I came home with were photos, not memories. Long before couch surfing I had the opportunity to stay with some locals in Belfast. We hung out with local musicians and went to several of their gigs. That experience was much more meaningful and we learned so much more about the country than if we just checked monuments and museums off a list.

Interests

In the summer I will be hiking or biking in the Colorado mountains. My boyfriend and I own a small trailer, so we like to go camping too. In the winter I am skiing. I am a member of a ski club in Breckenridge so I spend a lot of time in the mountains. I also sing a’cappella with a large group of women, barbershop style. I try to do one or two scuba vacations a year. I have recently retired, so I will have a lot more time to do all these things. Travel is really my number one passion and I look forward to exploring many more places and meeting new people along the way.

I have lived in Colorado over 30 years, so I know the area pretty well. I can suggest hikes or skiing destinations or guide you down the best ski run on the mountain.
