I spend the first 6 years of my life in Austria, then I moved to Helsinki, Finland for 7 years and after that I lived in Oslo, Norway for 4 years. I have been living in Vienna now for almost 5 years and I like the city very much. I study law and portuguese in Vienna, finishing my law studies soon and started portuguese 1 year ago. I am a positive, open minded and outgoing person.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm addicted to traveling and getting to know new cultures. Since I can't be traveling all the time, I like to let people from all over the world visit me and stay at my place. I think staying at a locals place gives you a unique point of view on the city and the country you are staying in. I'm a very big fan of the couch surfing principe and I like to give something in return for staying at someones place, like cooking for him, teaching him something I know, profiting from interesting conversations or simply returning the favor and letting him stay at my place.

Intereses

I like to act in improvisational theatre, I am acting in a group of young artist who like to act in Vienna. I like playing the guitar, reading, cooking, hiking... I did Karate for a long time and enjoyed it very much. I have been into Whiskeys for a while and I still love to have a good scottish Whiskey. I am very interested in the history and culture of every county and I love to connect learning more in those areas with traveling to the country itself.

Music: My interests are very wide spread, I have favorite artists in nearly every genre, from Jazz (Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Regina Spector...) over Reggae (Konshens, Bob Marley, Gentleman, Alborosie...) to Rock, Punk, Metal.
Movies: I really enjoy movies from Lars von Trier, Stanley Kubrick, Pedro Almodóvar and many more.
Books: Some of my favorite authors are Franz Kafka, Paolo Coelho, Milan Kundera, Ismail Kadare, Orhan Pamuk, Jostein Gaader (some lesser known german/ austrians: Patrick Süßkind, Wolf Haas, Thomas Glavinic, Daniel Kehlmann)
I like reading older classical literature, plays from Shakespeare, Henrik Ibsen, Goethe and acts from Nietzsche, Kant, Platon etc.

I'm very much into hitchhiking! One summer I hitchhiked with some friends over two months through whole southern europe, from Istanbul until Lisbon. I got to know so many friendly people, I am alway truly overwhelmed by all the human kindness I experience hitchhiking.

I want to get to know people who like to experience new things, who like to travel and who are willing to share their experiences they have made. I like to have long conversations over society, the world and humanity and all its diversity and I would be happy to get together with people I can learn from and who want to learn from me. I love to cook meals from foreign countries, so if I get the chance to cook for you or the other way round, that would make me very happy.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I share an apartment with my sister, which is very big. You will have your own room with a double bed, and we have a lot of sofas so there is plenty of places to sleep. The flat is located pretty central, only 15 minutes walking to Karlsplatz or 10 minutes with the subway. Its a very quiet, but also a little bit posh area, 5 minutes walking to the Belvedere, a touristic dream :)
