Hello! I'm a former hairstylist who married a U.S. Coastguardsmen, and spawned 4 little adorable humans. I'm now a stay at home, homeschool, and dream of someday owning a little cafe filled with books, ha. I am semi crunchy and love learning about other cultures, listening to people tell their stories, and my inner hippie researches anything that has to do with natural living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had an interest in the worldschooling community and how families travel and allow the world to become their classroom. While we cant travel full time, I decided to take part of this year, and travel with the kiddos around some of Germany, and now the UK. We definitely are trying travel on a budget, but more than that, something like this as well as housesitting allows us to meet new friends, and brings us to off the beaten path areas hat we may have never thought to visit. Of course we don't mind the touristy parts as well. We love traveling, and are hoping to gain knowledge of history, culture, and interact with others outside of our American bubble.

Music, Movies, and Books

Josh Groban is one of the best things to happen in my lifetime. While I am open to most music, my usual go to seems to be movie soundtracks. Rachel Portman is a good radio feed.
Anne of Green Gables will always be my favorite. I'm unashamedly an anglophile and my Netflix queue is almost all BBC.
Historical Fiction makes up most of my small library at home.
