About Me
Hi everyone!
My name is Diana, I’m an exchange student from Russia currently living and studying in Kansas City, Missouri 🇷🇺→🇺🇸 While I’m here, I am eager to explore as much of the U.S. as I can — places, people, and stories!
I’m an outgoing and curious person who loves deep talks and simple joy — from sharing life experiences to learning about other cultures. I enjoy telling stories from my background (I visited 13 countries!), and I truly appreciate it when people open up and share theirs too. For me, it’s all about connection. Let’s exchange stories, smiles, and maybe a few adventures along the way!

So nice to meet you here 🤗
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because I believe that the best way to experience a place is through its people. Hotels can’t offer the same connection, kindness, or stories that real people can — and that’s what I’m looking for.
I love learning about different cultures, ways of life, and personal journeys. Couchsurfing makes the world feel smaller and friendlier, and I’m excited to meet people who are open, curious, and kind — just like me :)
For me, it’s not just about finding a place to stay — it’s about sharing moments, conversations, and creating memories that last

Music, Movies, and Books
I have quite a mixed taste in music — I love classics like a-ha and Queen, but also enjoy The Weeknd and some good Russian hip hop when the vibe is right 🎧
When it comes to movies and shows, I’m really into emotional and intense stories — Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, and the cult classic Point Break are some of my favorites 🎬
As for books, I adore deep, dramatic novels that stay with you long after you finish them: Gone with the Wind, The Thorn Birds, and of course The Master and Margarita — timeless and powerful reads 📚
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once climbed a 1000-meter mountain — Mao'er Shan in China — with zero preparation, just pure curiosity and determination 😅⛰️ It was exhausting, spontaneous, and totally unforgettable. One of those “I can’t believe I actually did that” moments!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d love to:
- teach Russian — I studied linguistics at university in Russia, and now I teach English, so I’m a professional teacher :)
- share my culture — I love talking about Russian traditions, stories, and daily life (and yes, I always bring some small souvenirs with me)
- cook Russian food — ever tried blini or borsch? I’d love to cook something together and exchange recipes!
I’m always open to learning something new — whether it’s a local dish, a song, a life story, or a fresh way to see the world 🌍
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m always happy to bring good vibes, open conversation, and a genuine interest in getting to know you and your way of life 🫶 I can share stories from my travels, cook some Russian food, help with language practice (Russian or Spanish), and even bring a little souvenir from home. Whether it’s deep talks over tea or just enjoying a chill moment together — I’m grateful for any chance to connect :)
