About Me

My passion is life-long learning. Learning to let go of people and society’s expectations. Learning to say No, because how good is my YES if I can’t say NO. As a senior citizen, I am reclaiming my youthful energy and activating my childhood dreams. I want to be a real-life model, for younger and older generations, of the peace and abundance that flows when you overcome your fears and pursue your dreams without apology. And, how to do that without sacrificing your values, your health or quality time with your loved ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Often, me and/or my mate George are seeking short-term housing when we are not able to be together. We are both doing the best we can to save money so that we can be together full-time. For now, we are doing what we have to do, so one day we can do what we want to do -- be together.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most music, with a special fondness for: R&B, Jazz, Classical Orchestras, Soca, Reggae, House and Hip Hop.

Many people don’t know I am also interested in elephants and astrology, love freely floating in water or dancing in my bare feet, and watching courtroom dramas where the underdog wins.

I love books about underdogs or heroines. Some of my favorite movies: The Godfather series; Fast & Furious series; Claudine; Let's Do It Again; Angeleina; and, Forgotten Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running a volunteer residential summer camp for children with sickle cell disease

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a life-long learner. I can teach/share: dance for all mobilities; sound toning to get into alpha state or a more relaxed state of mine; moving through conflict in a generative way; healing practices such as gratitude, forgiveness, healing sadness, and spiritual healing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm Diana Marie, a recovering workaholic, living on the Mediterranean island of Goz0. I am an African-American, Cherokee Nation asthmatic living in pain every day. After raising millions of dollars for other people’s visions, I left a lucrative nonprofit career to pursue entrepreneurship.

I built a successful high six-figure business and diverse team from scratch with no savings. After experiencing a brain concussion, I could no longer manage the company well and had to reimagine my life. I found the inner courage to leave a toxic environment, move away from my homeland to create a better life.
