About Me

Passionate about travel! My husband and I, along with 2:3 of our kids are trying to squeeze in as much travel in this next year as possible! Places we've already been: Colombia, S.A.; Tanzania & Mt. Kilimanjaro (to the very top); Japan (lived there for 3 years)-Mt. Fuji, Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagano, and Okinawa visits; Belize; Mexico; Roatan; Costa Rica; Panama Canal; Grand Cayman; St. Maarten; St. Thomas; Bermuda; and I personally have visited all 50 states in the US. Our teens love to travel and try new things, especially food!
We love music, new cultures and new foods. I have Celiac's Disease (Gluten is not my friend) so I want to try all the gluten-free foods in your area!!
We also love to scuba and snorkel. Really want to get the kids scuba certified before the launch from the nest in a few years!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With global travel finding new friends makes it that much easier. I've heard such great things about the experiences of others and want to try it myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

We are fairly open in the music department. Older rock: Queen, Beatles, Pink Floyd; newer Pop; Classical composers; Jazz; Zydeco; Techno & Dance.
Avid readers of many genres: Fiction, Sci-Fi, Classics (working my way thru Jane Austen now).
Movies are also a wide range. My favorite is Princess Bride. Family loves Star Wars, any Avengers/Marvel heroes, Star Trek, some horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Being that high off the face of the earth, seeing the actual curvature of our globe, and the incredible people we were hiking with, and being escorted by, was by far one of my BEST life experiences ever!!
