We are organizing our first Eurotrip!!! The duration of the trip is a month and a half and, in that time, we want to visit some cities in different countries (((: Here in Brazil we don't have this opportunity to jump from country to country, traveling becomes very expensive. So we are very happy to have this experience!

Diana: I'm originally from Paraty (that city called Brazilian Venice) and I grow up there with a mix of a country city and a cosmopolitan city. I came to Rio to study Anthropology, then Cinema. Both, together, form what today I feel is my greatest connection with art. I also work as a photographer. And, months ago, I started do yoga training to become a teacher (cause living from art in Brazil is complicated). Love to be in nature, do sports and share about art!

Gabriel: Hello! :) I always lived in Rio and love my city. I'm filmmaker, actor, and an amateur chess player. Recently, I started practicing Kung Fu (northern praying mantis style). I'm also a film addict. My favorite director is Tarkovsky, but I promise I'm not only into cult stuff! I like practically any kind of movie. I love to discover new places, to feel like a local when i'm traveling, to experience unique moments, to cook, drink wine, beer, to have profound conversations, to tell jokes, to laugh, to watch soccer (I'm a huge Fluminense fan), to play soccer (not very good, though, despite the brazilian stereotype).

We like to share our culture and to know new ones. This is to most valuble thing in life. The connections. We love to be in the places contempling it in a calm mood, but in the same time, we also like to parties and excitement situations (and Carnival, here).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We believe that the bonds we can create from experiences outside our daily lives are strong and transform us. Every time we connect with people from other places, we have the opportunity to get to know that place through their eyes, not through a tourist's eyes. This interests us a lot!

Finally, we are Brazilians, it's difficult for us to travel around Europe with the current Euro conversion, so this type of travel allows us to have some experience that in other way we couldn't.

Diana: My favorite film director's are Wim Wenders, David Lynch, Abbas Kiarostami, Ingmar Bergman, Agnès Varda, Yorgos Lanthimos, Kleber Mendonça Filho (brazilian stuff, I recommend you get to know), Jodorowsky. Music I always say that that I like to hear good things, regardless of the style. We can exchange some music recommendations, so you cant show me your taste and I show you mine.

Gabriel: I'm a huge fan of most directos Diana said, but I must include my biggest admiration for Tarkosvky.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Something cool that Gabriel and I did was present our short film at a big international short film festival in Brazil. We also presented a play in a theater, I wrote it and Gabriel acted.

Diana: I can offer to you some free photos in your house or in a cool place in the city! A little photographic session ((: I can also offer a yoga class.

Gabriel: I can cook and teach how to make some brazilian dish! :)) I can also play chess with you, recommend some movies that we can watch together and play songs if you have some instruments at home.

Togheter, we attend Kunf Fu classes, so we can teach you some basic techniques if you want.
