About Me

I’m an Assistant Professor in the field of Sport Sciences, passionate about learning, exploring, and embracing new experiences. Education is my calling, and I love diving into new knowledge, whether through formal studies, travel, or engaging with different perspectives.

I believe in positivity, minimalism, and appreciating the simple things in life. I love outdoor sports (like Trail Running and climbing Via Ferrata) and I’m always up for a good challenge!
One of my biggest passions is hiking in the mountains, there’s nothing like the feeling of reaching a summit and taking in the breathtaking views. And of course, I’m also a beach lover. Going to the beach is a perfect escape, feeling the warmth of the sun, the rhythm of the waves, and the fresh sea breeze is so relaxing.

Anyway, I truly believe in mindful and conscious living. I’m a very hard worker, but once in a while, I like to step out of my comfort zone and do something different, whether it’s travelling, trying a new sport, or simply embracing a new adventure.

NOTE: I'm not hosting at the moment due to busy work schedules.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all I love travelling and I think this is a great way to help travellers connecting with the locals.

Traveling isn’t just about visiting new places; it’s about connecting with people, sharing stories, and experiencing life through different perspectives. Couchsurfing allows me to step beyond the usual tourist path and immerse myself in local cultures. Whether I’m staying with a kind host, exchanging ideas over a home-cooked meal, or attending community events, every experience adds a unique chapter to my journey.

It’s not just about finding a place to sleep, it’s about building friendships across borders and making the world feel a little smaller, one conversation at a time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m deeply passionate about everything related to psychology, whether it’s classic theories from Pavlov or fascinating experiments like the famous Dr. Zimbardo Experiment. I love diving into new knowledge, so feel free to send me book suggestions!

When it comes to movies, I can watch anything from action, sci-fi, rom-coms, and even Quentin Tarantino films. And if I just want to laugh out loud, Jim Carrey movies are always a great choice!
Music-wise, my heart belongs to classic rock from the '60s to the '90s, though I enjoy other genres as well.

Fun fact: I play guitar and dream of learning to play the drums. Also, I’m a huge fan of the Harry Potter franchise, always up for a magical conversation!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every trip teaches me something new, it’s my way of discovering a better version of myself and becoming a better person to those around me. If I can help someone along the way, I will.

Travelling has also given me some hilarious and unexpected stories, from crossing the Laugavegur trail (Iceland) in a storm as a rookie mountaineer, to almost getting hit by a kangaroo while hiking the Six Foot Track (Australia), and many more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about Portuguese culture and language, sharing the richness of our traditions and way of life.

At the same time, I love learning about different cultures and perspectives, there’s so much we can exchange and grow from each other’s experiences.

Traveling brings endless stories, and I’m always eager to hear them, especially the funny ones!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love the interaction that Couchsurfing provides as a way to exchange cultures, ideas, and experiences. For me, it’s not just about finding a free bed, it’s about meaningful connections and learning from one another. I enjoy talking, getting to know people, and sharing good conversations. I also love walking and am always happy to explore new places on foot.

Above all, I believe in the importance of kindness, helping others, and showing respect "because to receive it, you must first give it".
