Just turned 51 - and am recently separated and have a spare bedroom.

I work full-time a block from my house as an administrative assistant. I am happy it is a 9-5 job with little overtime which allows me time to do stuff I love.
I volunteer with local theatre groups running their front of house or taking headshots, etc.
I started a lifestyle change in 2008, which has truly changed my life.
I have recently included stillness, breath, mindfulness and short meditation into my life and have seen all of the benefits improving my life daily.

I believe there are "no mistakes - just lessons to be learned". (thanks Barbra Streisand!). Also I truly believe you can do anything you set your mind to. I've proven that multiple times in my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My son introduced the concept to me and I think it's great.
Plus I have extra space.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love love love Broadway musicals, Glee, The Voice, but not American Idol. Otherwise I hate having the TV on in the background, although I've seen many shows, I really am not a fan of tv. I do like good movies though.

Brene Brown, Marianne Williamson, Anne Lamott, Pema Chodron and Scott Fried all changed my life. You should check them out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the 250 KM Ride to Conquer Cancer from Montreal to Quebec City TWICE!!! in 2009 and 2010!!!!!
never really rode a bike more than 5 km before I started training...
