I retired in 1998. I am a serial traveler. I travel on average 6 months a year. If I see someplace I like, I obtain housing and stay awhile. I have done this three times in my life. Don't ask me how many countries, I have lost count. I hope to see Southern Italy and Poland before I head home.

My son, his wife and my grandchildren live just outside Oxford, UK in a tiny village. I try to visit them at least once a year in the fall when we have a couple of birthdays and an anniversary.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have the time and my pension. Although it is not much, it is enough to enjoy my retirement. Hostels are great but when I travel I like to immerse myself in the culture. Eat different foods and follow their customs. I was recently introduced to Couchsurfing from a woman who was staying in a hostel. I like the idea of staying with a local when I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have favorite types of music, movies or books. I am happy to let the group or individual pick what they like. It expands my knowledge of each. I could list things I don't like.

Actually, I do not know which thing I should share. My whole life has been pretty amazing.

My experiences, of course. I can fix almost anything. Very Computer literate and can fix them also.
