About Me

Born and raised in Normandy, France. I worked for a few years in Paris for one of the Fat Four (Big Five at that time). Then I moved in Tahiti, French Polynesia. Now, I still work in the accounting / finance field and I also teach Excel to professionals.
Despite what people may imagine about people working in accounting, I have a little adventurous side : I like to find new challenges and I like learning new stuff.
These last fews years, I became a Open Water Scuba Instructor (diving), an International Kiteboarder Instructor (kitesurfing), a Yachtmaster offshore (sailing). I also begun to learn how to fly an aircraft but stopped because the height is not my thing... and having only a few minutes in front of you to react in case of a problem is too high a risk for my brain haha !
I am very dynamic, easy-going I think and I have always a smile on my face :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet good people. Have good discussions. I don't mind traveling alone but a souvenir is always better when shared with other people ! And I love hearing real life stories and share some of mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From 2016 to 2019, I learned to single-handed sail my small boat (28 foot). When I felt ready I took the canal of Panama and then sailed solo from Panama to French Polynesia. 38 days without speaking to anyone. I feel happy to have the opportunity to do something like that once in my life !
If you are curious to watch : here is the first video out of the seven I produced to share this adventure with my family, friends and other people : https://www.youtube.com/c/DreamChaserNautigirl

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travelling alone, I hope to meet good people who will be willing to interact with me and exchange real life stories, informations, whatever. But I also know when to keep quiet, don't worry !

If you are looking for a fabulous French cook, sorry, I am not the right person, I am a very basic cook... but I am super good at washing the dishes, setting the table, chatting over a glass of wine or of water (depending of the time of the day obviously).

I will have some free time, so I am willing to help in any way I could be useful to you.

If you are interesting in sailing, I can share good informations / stories as I spend 3 years sailing singlehanded between the Caribbean islands through the Panama canal up to French Polynesia. I also wrote 2 books, sailing related : a fiction and real short stories I gathered along my way.

If you are learning French or want to practice French, I will be more than happy to help you.

If you always wondered how beautiful is French Polynesia and how nice are the people there, I will confirm why you should go and visit this place !
