I'm a mother of two beautiful daughters who are now grown and on their own in other states.

I currently reside and work in Sarasota, Florida, and have been here for nearly 20 years. It is so beautiful here it would be tough to leave forever. However, it is time for me to explore the world again.

I practice massage therapy as an everyday occupation. I have created workshops teaching couples to massage each other. I have expanded this workshop into a 3-day and 6-day retreat.

My Mission Statement: To travel the world with my love, to see my children, friends, and family, facilitating retreats for couples so they may love, connect, and grow through touch.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently in India - I am here to take care of my body and spirit after 26 years of providing massage and healing those who came to my table. Now it's my turn. I will be in Kerala for a 28 day panchakarma cleanse - I'm so very much looking forward to this!!!! The to Goa for the Muktra Kundalini Tantra Yoga Teacer Training. All of this if for my soul....and the desire to have restored integrity to my body and spirit in order to give fully to those who I work with in the future.

I am always scouting for locations to hold my couples massage retreats. I will hold my next retreat in Cortona, Italy, and the future looks like Lacave, France and along the Nile in Egypt.

I often stay in hotels, but occasionally, I look for CS opportunities in order that I may get a closer feel for an area and discover from locals. I have had many people stay in my home over the years and I love it!! As well, I am a great guest ~ thoughtful to your privacy, independent, and I always tidy up after myself. I have made two life-long friends on CS...which, to me, is the best gift of life.

I realize now I may be old enough to be the mother of either a guest or host. Yet, I still have stories to share and I'm still a pretty cool chick who loves to dance to EDM as much as most of the young ones.

Interests

I play tennis for fun and exercise. I love to walk the beach or my downtown neighborhood in the early mornings or evenings.

Being spontaneous and being with my friends is where I derive my personal pleasure. Baking heart-shaped cakes for special occasions is a delight of mine.

Beetlejuice is an all-time favorite movie simply because it's hilarious and not serious, yet sweet as ever.
So many great movies and books....too many to list - prefer documentaries on people/music/world events

Dancing is one of my greatest passions and the best way for me to get out of my head. I realize I am now one of the elders on the dancefloor, but I will forever make my way there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip overseas was a two-month Eurail adventure; hooked for life!
In 1987/88, I traveled around the world for 15 months ~ alone, at the age of 24/25.
Three months again France and Italy in 2016
For the first time on a guided tour to Egypt in 2023; Spiritual intentions with meditation time at nearly all locations we visited.
Currently in Europe to take time for myself - my "everything" got off balance since Covid. Being a massage therapist, the last four years have been about taking care of others. Now it's time for my own healing.

I love to teach massage to couples - my classes are useful, fun, and playful

I would love to learn to cook, more about photography, and become better at sailing and tennis!

I'm open to doing anything creative, and adventurous - I'm always a "Yes!"
