Hello all 🌻

I am living in İstanbul but family home is in Antalya. Although I opened this account three years ago, I did not have a chance to host someone yet. Hopefully, when I have my own home I'd like to host fellow travelers. I have recently graduated from law school with a double major in sociology. I have a curiosity for the world, people and how things work in the universe.

Since I will not have much time while working as a lawyer, I decided to travel solo as much as I can now. I like listening to life stories of people, how things work in their countries, what people eat, how they celebrate things... In short I'd like to see the world through other people's perspective. That's why I want to do Couchsurfing to fully experience the places I will travel in a short amount of time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to have real conversations with the locals. I would prefer to meet and share my food with people rather than staying in a hotel without exposing the real culture of that place. Also, I'd like to host fellow travelers in Istanbul since this city is just mind-blowing. So, I'd like to share my favourite places in Istanbul.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books belong to Russian literature and also Gabriel Garcia Marquez ☀️
My fav directors are Abbas Kiarustemi and Wong-kar Wai
I am playing cello (very basic level) but also interested in Sufi music, R and B and Russian rap music as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We built a library for my high school while I was studying there. We did not much opportunity to reach books in the library. We got organized with my friends and gathered enough money to buy 250 books for our library. It was like a DIY paradise for us until high school ended 🙂
