About Me

Hi! I'm an exchange student in Osaka from Istanbul, Turkey. I'm a university student in yhe department of Translation and Interpretation Studies. But now I'm studying Japanese in Japan.

In the summer of 2015, I travelled from city to city in Italy with my two close friends. That was my first time backpacking and it was amazing! I realized the joy of traveling. And that also made me realize that friendships get stronger while traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to travel in Japan alone when I couldn't find anyone to come with me. But I think Couchsurfing is great for meeting locals and becoming a part of that city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love musicals! I can listen to them over and over again. When I am trying to learn a language I just listen the musicals in that language. My favorite musicals are Romeo and Juliet (I watched that one live in Italian and Japanese), Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy, The Miserables, Pride and Prejudice, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Norwegian Wood

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Coming to Japan as an exchange student! That changed my perspective on life. Now that I'm here, so far away from home, everything seems possible!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about my culture and my native language Turkish. And I can learn their language and culture. I want to discover simple things which are only visible to locals. Like going to a play, a movie or just eating a local dish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a good cook (actually I started to cook this year) but we can cook Turkish dishes together. And I love talking! (though at first I can be very shy)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, Turkey, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Turkey
