Overview
About Me
Hey, I’m Diego! I’m an integrated engineering student from Canada, always looking for new experiences, challenges, and connections. I have a deep love for travel, adventure, and learning about the world through hands-on experiences. Whether it’s a roadtrip to the desert, scuba diving or discussing current news, I’m always up for something interesting. I believe in meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and making the most of every journey. Also I am celiac so I can't eat gluten.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travel isn’t just about places; it’s about people. I love meeting locals and fellow travelers who are passionate about exploring the world. Staying with hosts or hosting others offers a much richer experience than just visiting a place—it creates real connections and understanding. Plus, it’s always great to swap travel stories and tips!
Interests
My interests all relate to exploration and satisfying my curiosity. Adventures in the outdoors provide a chance to push my boundaries and disconnect from the distractions of daily life. Pursuing my engineering degree provides me a chance to work on the biggest problems of the day. While travelling is both interesting and provides an opportunity to understand different cultures better. Hopefully one day I can intersect all of these interests in a career in diplomacy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Huge rock and roll fan. I can't name the song but I'll know it when it's played. My favourite books are dystopian classics like 1984 and animal farm. Top 3 favourite movies are Parasite, Bullet Train, and of course the Godfather.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My current trip around the world has been absolutely incredible. I started in Japan and I've seen so much that it's absolutely changed my perspective on life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you French, I'd love to learn your language and culture, and I can share about current affairs in my country and abroad.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversations, good company, and high respect for you and your home.
