Overview
About Me
I'm Diego, a curious and adaptable guy coming from a coastal town in the Basque Country, northern Spain. Currently, I'm studying a double degree in Physics Engineering and Industrial Engineering in Madrid. My life revolves around learning — not just through academics but by embracing experiences, cultures, and people. Whether it's surfing the waves of Zarautz, engaging in philosophical debates, or traveling with just a backpack, I strive to keep my curiosity alive and growing. I recently found this CS platform and I hope I can meet people and share good memories with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to connect with people from around the world, dive deeper into local cultures, and share meaningful moments. For me, traveling is not just about visiting places but about experiencing life through the eyes of those who call those places home. Couchsurfing has this spirit of community, adventure, and cultural exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy a wide range of music, from classic rock to bossa nova, reflecting my diverse experiences and travels. Lately, I've been into Brazilian music, thanks to my time in Rio, and I am discovering Turkish music now.
Books: I'm passionate about philosophy and literature. I've taken part in a "Greatest Books" course where I delved into fundamental works, sparking deep conversations and critical thinking. I have been reading a bit ofeverything: novels, classics, scientific books

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach surfing, physics, and languages — I speak Spanish, Basque, English, French, Portuguese, and a bit of Italian and German. I’d love to learn more about local traditions, cuisines, and hidden spots from my hosts. I’m always open to exchanging ideas about science, philosophy, and anything that sparks curiosity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my passion for sports. I can offer surf lessons if we're near the coast. I'm also happy to cook a traditional Basque meal or share travel stories. More than anything, I bring an open mind, good company, and a genuine desire to connect and learn from others.
